Solstice
Blackheath NSW
… a sweet take on village life …
Built in the 1890s, Solstice Blackheath is a heritage gem in the heart of bohemian Blackheath. Luxuriate in this beautifully and gently renovated cottage, with 4 bedrooms, a chef’s kitchen and iconic bathing space
Chill out with a group of your besties (think G&T in the garden and wine by the open fire) or bring your soul mate, pick your fav room and luxuriate in the decadence of Solstice Blackheath
The Solstice gardens are a wonderland of meandering pathways, secluded spaces and plenty of trees to picnic under
Surrounded by world heritage and epic nature walks, a 5 minute stroll to eclectic cafes, restaurants, wine and record bars, art gallery and antiques of Blackheath village, Solstice is the ultimate stay
A Bohemian Village Stay
Blackheath is a quiet, friendly and bohemian village, known for its unique art galleries, antique shops and cafes. There are plenty of great places to enjoy a lazy brunch, long lunch or delectable dinner. We take our coffee, wine bars and foodie hang-outs seriously
If you are without a car, Solstice Blackheath is only 450 metres (6 min walk) from the Blackheath train station. Trains come and go for all villages in the Blue Mountains, as well as to Sydney. We recommend the “Blue Mountains Explorer Bus”, stopping at all villages, lookouts and major tourist attractions in the Blue Mountains area. Get your bus ticket at Katoomba train station
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a chef and would like to take advantage of our beautiful kitchen or undercover BBQ space, there are two local supermarkets in Blackheath as well as a green grocer, free-range butcher (tell Bruce we sent you), several bakeries, a bottle shop and deli. You’re welcome to use our shopping trolley to gather for your feast
Surroundings to Explore
Blackheath has the enviable position of being at the highest point of the Blue Mountains. With that comes mystical fogs, crisp mornings, low humidity Summers and ‘sometimes’ snow in Winter
The Three Sisters and Scenic World, Katoomba, is less than 10 minutes’ drive from Blackheath. The gorgeous Wentworth Falls and popular shopping village of Leura, are also only 15 minutes’ drive away
The eclectic and charming village of Mount Victoria is a short 10 minute drive, where you can enjoy the delights of the historic cinema, Mount Vic Flicks. Great for a rainy day activity or a night out with your bestie
